Pointers tie again

NEW BOSTON — The South Point Pointers are keeping it all even.
The Pointers posted a tie for the second time in as many soccer games this season with a 2-2 deadlock against the New Boston Tigers on Tuesday.
New Boston took a 1-0 lead at the 20-minute mark on a goal by Mark Mohr, but the Pointers tied the game five minutes later on a goal by Danny Eckert with an assist from Erin Dillow.
South Point (0-0-2) took a 2-1 lead at the 32nd minute of the half on Eckert’s second goal thanks to an assist from Michael Lein.
New Boston came back to make it 2-2 at the 47th minute mark of the second half.
The Pointers had seven corner kicks to the Tigers’ four.
South Point plays at Lincoln County next Tuesday.
